They reap countless benefits of physical, social, emotive and spiritual growth as they learn about themselves and each other. House of Dance has a wide variety of classes offered throughout the year ranging from ages 3 years to 17. The Youth Program offers:
Dance Classes – fun, exciting and challenging classes offered weekly for ages 7 to 17 in the areas of ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and combination classes.
Creative Movement – designed for the preschooler to embrace the world of movement and dance
Performance Level Classes – Classes designed for the interm/advanced student who wishes to advance their performance skills in a particular dance style and perform throughout the community. Admission to this class is by audition and/or approval from the instructor.
Youth dance classes and programs are by enrollment only and are designed to be age-appropriate in style of dance and material covered. For creative movement classes, placement is determined by age as of the first day of each semester and child must be potty trained. For 7-17 years olds, placement is determined by grade as of the first day of our fall semester.

This class will work on technique,more advanced moves and advanced choreography. It will continue to build from Level 2. Must have prior ballet experience and approval from the instructor.
In this class, students will be introduced to the fundamentals ballet. Basic steps and combinations will be taught at center floor and through across the floor progressions. Attire needed: snug, close-fitting clothing that students can move in. Leotards and tights are recommended. Ballet shoes required.
This class is a continuation of Level 1 which further strenthens technique with emphasis on more complex choreography. Leotards and tights are recommended. Ballet shoes required.

This combo class is great for the young dancer with focus on ballet and jazz. the dancer will learn the fundamentals of ballet and overlay jazz technique for a well rounded dance clas. This class is wonderful for developing coordination and gross motor skills (hopping,leaping, skipping) as well as flexibility. Thhe class also teaches boday and spacial awarenss with isolations of all parts of the body.
Ballet and jazz shoes are a MUST for this hour long class.
Students are expected to master the basics at each level before progression to the next and are admitted into upper levels only wiht prior experience or approval of the instructor.
This class encourages free expression and movement while introducing basic elemnts of tap dance technique with a ballet fundation.
Students will learn ballet and tap terminology while focusing o the importance of sound and rhythm.
Shoe attire: ballet and tap shoes.
Children will have a ball as we play beach volleyball with balloons, use our imaginations to swim with sea creatures, and celebrate with a luau at the end of the week.
Bellydance Fusion blends together the traditional steps and movements of the Silk Road with more modern styles that have come from the shores of California in the 1980's. In this class, we will discuss the cultural history of the dance, learn basic posture and technique. We will learn foundation movements of this beautiful dance and put them into a fun and easy to learn dance routine that you can take home and show off to friends. Wear comfortable clothing (no skirts), bring a water bottle and dance shoes if preferred. We usually dance barefoot. Yoga mats are encouraged for warmup and cooldown - bring your own - or one will be provided.

"Bollywood" is a style of dance that originated from the Indian film industry. It's simple but upbeat movements and lively music make it a very enjoyable dance. It incorporates graceful hand movements and sexy hip shakes. This workshop will help you become a little more graceful, and teach you how to loosen up! You will learn how to break a leg Bollywood style and have a ball!

This class will focus on "top rock" and floorwork. Building upon strength and agility, you will begin with basic breaking steps and advance to sophisticated floorwork including the 6 step. The 6 step provides a base fo more complex moves and patterns.
Children will love this introduction to the basics of cheerleading. Cheers, chants, and cheer dances will be taught in a fun, non-competitive environment. Neither tumbling nor stunting will be performed nor taught at this cheer camp.
Your kids will enjoy this 1 week energetic musical theater camp. The camp features both vocal training as well as dance training in order to successfully perform a piece at the end of the camp. Wonderful for those new to musical theater and will aid as a foundation for this discipline or those honing their skills with musical theater productions.
Students must come perpared with a one minute song. Students must also register atleast four days prior to the start of the camp.

Zumba fitness for Mommy and Me~ Ages 2-5. Any parent, any fitness level. This class begins with a rhythmic warm-up to prep the joints and muscles, gradually increase heart rate and learning basic routines. In this class, boys and girls use their bodies, senses and creativity to discover the joyful world of movement. Through movement, children learn about their bodies, the space around them and each other. Less focus is placed on doing structured steps, but draws on children’s connection to music, self-expression, creativity and freedom . This class is not only fun, but can be a foundational tool to aid in sports, dance , theater, performing arts and life in general.
It's a jungle out there! At House of Dance, children will enjoy this adventure into the wild, using our imaginations to track lions, dance with monkeys, and even discover some dinosaurs.
Come see routines from ballet to East Coast Swing. This performance offers a variety of dances from songs from popular movies. This year’s theme is “A Night at the movies. Come out and see routines in our annual showcase. Once you have purchased your ticket come by the studio and pick them up.

Tumbling is an acrobatic dicipline which uses some skills of gymnastics. Tumbling is a great way to complement a child's dance career. Tumbling is great for overall conditioning of the body whild having fun.
Come and have fun while learning to swing dance to tunes of the 1940's and up. In this class, geared for youths, the student will learn any of the following: East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and/or Hand Dancing. No partner required.
